Holy Baptism

Holy Baptism is the sacrament that initiates an individual — adult, child, or infant — into the Christian faith, a member of the Body of Christ. The baptism service may be found on page 299 of The Book of Common Prayer.

  • At least one parent of a child being baptized is invited to be a member of St. John’s Church.
  • Those seeking baptism for their children are required to attend a preparatory interview.
  • Adults who wish to be baptized are invited to become members of our church.
  • Adults contemplating baptism are usually invited to attend the Inquirer’s Class.
