Sunday School News:
The Church School classes will be making bread this Sunday, January 26th for newcomers to St. John’s. If you are interested in helping with this event, please contact Kate McKey-Dunar at kemckey@gmail.com.
Church School classes are for children aged 3 through grade 6 are held from 10-10:40 a.m., with children joining the service at the Offertory to be with their families for Holy Communion. Our youngest children will be using Godly Play as their curriculum which is a montessori based program. Our older children will be using Feasting On The Word which is a lectionary based curriculum. The Next Book Group Meeting has been re-scheduled for next Tuesday, January 28 at 7:30 p.m. We will be discussing two books on the same topic. The non-fiction book, The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson, and the fictional novel, The Twelve Tribes of Hattie by Ayana Mathis. Please join us – we welcome newcomers to our small, but enthusiastic group!
