Centre Street Food Pantry News: To help make the Thanksgiving holiday merry for families, the Food Pantry is stocking their shelves with canned and shelf-stable side dish items. Suggestions are: canned vegetables, soup, cake or cookie mix, bread mixes, dried cranberries, applesauce, turkey roasting tin foil pans, gravy (turkey or chicken), stuffing mix, cranberry sauce. With your help, they hope to offer each family a $20 gift card to a local grocery story throughout November. Please bring your contributions, and put them under our “Christmas Giving Tree” in the upper hall. The Dedicated Food Pantry Volunteers send their heartfelt thanks!

Sunday School News:
This Sunday the children will be going for a walk to hang door signs for the Arts and Crafts Fair on the houses around St. John’s. Please make sure to keep your kids bundled in their winter clothes for class.Thank you!
Church School classes are for children aged 3 through grade 6 are held from 10-10:40 a.m., with children joining the service at the Offertory to be with their families for Holy Communion. Our youngest children will be using Godly Play as their curriculum which is a montessori based program. Our older children will be using Feasting On The Word which is a lectionary based curriculum.

Christmas Pageant! The Christmas Pageant at St. John’s has been moved from December 15th to the 22nd. Children should come an hour before church to rehearse and we will perform the Pageant for the sermon. If you have any questions, please let Kate McKey-Dunar know at kemckey@gmail.com. Thank you!
The final gathering of the Fall Anglican Series scheduled for Saturday, November 23 has been cancelled due to the Arts and Crafts Fair on that same day.
St. John’s Second Annual Arts and Crafts Fair, November 23rd, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Works for sale will include handmade cards, photography, small paintings and prints, pottery, jewelry and other treasures by local artists. Come and bring your family and friends – it will be a great place to shop for Christmas presents!
Please take a moment to sign up to bring snacks or man the St. John’s booth at the Fair. Sign up sheets will be at coffee hour this Sunday along with flyers for you to take to hand out to your family and friends.

The Newton Family Singers will be having a fall concert at the Newton Highlands Congregational Church, 54 Lincoln St., this Sunday, November 17 at 4:00 p.m. Taking part in this fun event will be our very own parishioners, Jan Gilpin and son Toby.
